2012-2013 Schedule of Events

Friday, October 12th, 2012
Gonzalo Bergara Quartet

The all acoustic Gonzalo Bergara Quartet plays a modern variant of 1930s Django Reinhardt-inspired Gyspy Jazz.  Composer and lead guitarist Bergara mixes cascades of arpeggios with the sounds of Paris and his native Argentina and is supported by an ace clarinetist and a honed rhythm section. Bergara is fiery and focused, while the hard-swinging band take the audience for a ride.

Claire Lynch Band

Award winning country artist and composer, Claire's musical direction dates back to the days of the Front Porch String Band, offering a seasoned sound that is both unpretentious and richly textured. It's a down-home, front porch sensibility -- until you realize that it's a rare front porch to have ever hosted musicians of this caliber. Jason Thomas on fiddle and mandolin who brings remarkable musical versatility and imagination. Bassist Mark Schatz's deft touch and masterful instinct for groove; and, young Matt Wingate who brings a mature improvisational musicality to one of the greatest bluegrass bands currently on the scene.

The Alley Cats

A perfect blend of musical talent and comedic timing. The Cats never miss a beat as they sing a cappella to the greatest songs we all know and love of the 50s and 60s. Their interaction with audiences combined with their spontaneous humor makes each show refreshing and exciting. They have won over audiences nationally as they relate directly to the crowd with lively humor, engaging stories, and audience participation that appeals to young and old alike. Tight harmonies, universal humor, and unbelievable a cappella energy.

Saturday, May 18th, 2013
